A Comparison of the 2012 Democratic and Republic Party Platform Documents

President Obama Vs. Governor Romney mano-a-mano. There is no place to hide, no place to twist or turn here.Over the next month, we will be posting SNAP-CAPS that are a side-by-side comparison of various issues as set forth in the two party platforms. This series will give us all the opportunity to become informed on important issues before we go to the polls. All the words you will read are the actual words taken directly from the Democratic and the Republican platforms. These words express philosophies, policies, and intended results that the winning party will endeavor to enact if they come to power. These self-generating spotlights will illuminate exactly how each of the two candidates intends to lead America for the next 4 years. As a responsible citizen you will want to read every SNAP-CAP in this series and use what you read to determine which side you are on.

Forget where a candidate was born, what his religion is, what pin he wears in his lapel. Take the time to learn the heart and soul of how this country will veer, economically, socially, and in relation to our environment as well as the rest of the world.

Today we will present a synopsis of the series. Please make the time to read the side by side comparisons. Starting later today, and running for the next month we will dig more deeply into many of these issues. Each SNAP-FACT in the series will address only one topic and we will only present the exact words from the platforms.

To date, our policy has been to publish all of the SNAP-CAPS anonymously. Our wonderful team will be acknowledged at the end of our term on November 7th. However, I would be remiss if I did not recognize Allen Robbins for creating this important series. Weeks of work went into his research. Thank you Allen.

Special Thanks goes to Amit Asaravala at http://compare2012.returncontrol.com/#more-info who worked hard to make sure that is accurate.
