President Obama Signed The "RESTORING GI BILL FAIRNESS ACT"!
On August 3, 2011, President Obama signed the Restoring GI Bill Fairness Bill into law to amend the Post 9/11 GI Bill. This law was necessitated in order to help student veterans to attend colleges by helping them to pay for tuition and fees. Specifically, this legislation authorizes the United States Department of Veterans Affair (VA) to pay $17,500 or the appropriate reduced amount based on each individual’s eligibility percentage in tuition and fees for student veterans attending private colleges and universities in seven states: Arizona, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas.
