Snap-O Fact #58

On April 7, 2010, President Obama signed the "Prevent Deceptive Census Look Alike Mailings Act" prohibiting the post office from delivering any non-government mail if it bears the word “census” in order to eliminate deceptive mails in the country. Although the act does not ban private organizations from using the word “census,” it ensures that no company/firm can disguise themselves as the federal government to lure customers.This bill shows the attention to detail that the Obama administration encompasses. President Obama has his eyes on relatively small but important issues, such as this, at the same time he addresses the issues that make the headlines.
